Kid’s Pastor

• Launch & Lead MinistryBuild Trinity City Kids from the ground up (Nursery, Pre-K, Elementary), including age-level classes, small groups, and classroom flow.
• Teaching / CurriculumSelect and adapt biblically faithful, age-appropriate curriculum; plan a year-long scope & sequence aligned with church vision.
• Safety & SystemsImplement secure check-in/check-out, classroom ratios, room standards, allergy protocols, bathroom/diaper policies, and incident reporting.
• Volunteer TeamRecruit, screen, train, schedule, and shepherd volunteers; create simple playbooks and ongoing development rhythms.
• Discipleship & CareCultivate prayer, worship, Scripture memory, and gospel conversations; provide pastoral care to children and families.
• Parent PartnershipCommunicate consistently; provide take-home resources, milestone pathways (dedication, baptism readiness), and family discipleship tools.
• Events & OutreachPlan kid-focused/family events (VBS-style experiences, serve days, holiday outreaches) that connect with our community.
• OperationsSteward budgets, supplies, rooms, and calendars; maintain excellence in logistics, follow-up, and Sunday readiness.
• Church IntegrationCollaborate with pastoral staff; involve kids in the life of the church and support intergenerational moments.

• EducationBachelor’s degree (or in process) in a biblical or theological field (e.g., Biblical Studies, Theology, Ministry, Christian Education).
• Doctrine & CallingClear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ; alignment with Trinity City Church’s statement of faith and mission; evident call to children’s/family ministry.
• Experience1+ years (paid or significant volunteer) serving in children’s ministry or a comparable church/para-church setting.
• Teaching & ShepherdingAbility to communicate Scripture engagingly to multiple age groups and support a wide range of kid personalities and needs.
• LeadershipProven skill in recruiting, equipping, scheduling, and caring for volunteers; strong organization and communication.
• CharacterTeachable, prayerful, humble, team-oriented; models Christlike integrity on and off platform.

Experience launching ministries in a church-plant or multi-site context · Familiarity with special needs inclusion strategies · First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) · Basic proficiency with church management systems (Planning Center check-in/scheduling).

We’re in an exciting launch phase, and every member of our core team — even our Senior Pastor — is serving bi-vocationally right now. This reflects our commitment to wise stewardship and shared leadership as Trinity City Church takes root and grows. Compensation will be added to core team positions at the earliest point possible, in alignment with good stewardship and the church’s growth.
