Youth Pastor
The Youth Pastor will launch and lead a vibrant ministry for middle and high school students (grades 6–12). This role combines shepherding, teaching, team building, and equipping families to disciple their students. You’ll create environments where students encounter Jesus, grow in Scripture and prayer, and live on mission in their schools and city.
Key Responsibilities
- Launch & Lead MinistryDesign and oversee weekly gatherings, small groups, and student discipleship pathways from the ground up.
- Preaching / TeachingPrepare and deliver biblically faithful, age-appropriate messages; develop a yearly teaching plan aligned with church vision.
- Discipleship & CareBuild a culture of prayer, worship, Scripture engagement, and one-on-one mentoring; provide pastoral care to students and families.
- Team BuildingRecruit, train, schedule, and shepherd volunteer leaders; implement safety/serving standards and ongoing development.
- Events & OutreachPlan retreats, camps, service projects, and evangelistic/outreach opportunities in schools and the community.
- Parent PartnershipCommunicate consistently; equip parents with resources and trainings to disciple at home.
- OperationsSteward the youth budget, resources, and calendars; ensure excellence in logistics, follow-up, and communication.
- Church IntegrationCollaborate with pastoral staff; involve students in Sunday worship, serving teams, and the life of the church.
Qualifications
- EducationBachelor’s degree (or in process) in a biblical or theological field (e.g., Biblical Studies, Theology, Ministry, Christian Education).
- Doctrine & CallingClear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ; alignment with Trinity City Church’s statement of faith and mission; evident call to student ministry.
- Experience1+ years (paid or volunteer) leading or serving in student ministry (or comparable church/para-church setting).
- Teaching & ShepherdingDemonstrated ability to communicate Scripture faithfully and engagingly to students and to disciple diverse personalities.
- LeadershipProven ability to recruit, equip, and care for volunteers; strong organizational and communication skills.
- CharacterTeachable, prayerful, humble, and team-oriented; models Christlike integrity on and off platform.
Preferred
Experience and passion for launching ministries in a church-plant or multi-site context.

Compensation
We’re in an exciting launch phase, and every member of our core team — even our Senior Pastor — is serving bi-vocationally right now. This reflects our commitment to wise stewardship and shared leadership as Trinity City Church takes root and grows. Compensation will be added to core team positions at the earliest point possible, in alignment with good stewardship and the church’s growth.
